Origin: (where your character was born) Royal dragon family in Europe
Personality: (must be more than three sentences) Let's see, Zuri just hatched so as of right now she is curious and timid. Never knowing of such things that she hatched into. Still she is very crazy and always hungry. She enjoys to play and taunt people. The dragon in her allows her to be protective, strong and brave, for her size--sometimes it will get her in trouble for she imagines being so much bigger than she is. Also temper mental. But the temperament can only be taken as a little hissy fit children make. Don't undermined her though. She was born thousands of years ago so she is smart. The only issue is she has yet to figure out how to transmits her words to anyone else that isn't dragon.
Background: (How you came to be at the White Rose Manor)
It was long before the great rise of human civilization, before the dragon huntings were even thought of. When a Royal family of dragons existed. It was just like the mortals, everyone had their place. Dragons ruled the skies, and of those masters, there was one family, each with scales of vibrant purple, that was revered over all the others - humans eventually adopted that color for their own royalty, in imitation of the royal dragons. - Or so the legend goes.
While dragons were and have always been a largely solitary species, the Vasska-Suohs - were always the most respected, and where the dragon families came together, the Vasska-Suohs, believed to be the direct descendent's of the very first dragons, known for being the wisest, largest and the most powerful of all the families, served as the royalty among all dragons.
The closest family to the Vasska-Suohs were the Guialetta clan - a very small family of silver-blue dragons that had lived beside the Suohs for nearly as long as they had existed. The Guialettas, or Silverwings as they eventually became known, were known primarily for their knowledge and compassion, and they served as the caretakers of the Suoh line - caring for and instructing the children from birth, and becoming their advisor's as they grew. The Suohs and the -alettas shared a very deep bond, and where one family was, the other was sure to be nearby.
For millenia the -Suoh - which later came to be the very word for Dragon itself in some human dialects - served their place as the leaders, caretakers of the original draconic lines, and their blood - the source of a dragons magic and power - was known as the purest, the most potent, and eventually, it became the most sought after...
Some humans eventually learned of the power of magic from the magical races - the vampires, lycans, fairies, and from some dragons who were especially friendly to the humans. But without the power of magic in their blood, there was very little the humans were actually able to learn. However... a way was eventually discovered. The blood of a powerfully magic creature could, for a time, imbue any human with potent magical abilities. And of all the races, the reptilian masters of the sky had the most powerful blood - and their size meant they also had the most.
The dragon huntings of human legend started small, a few would-be wizards taking advantage of a few kind dragons, slaying them, taking power from their lifeblood - but that ran out, and like all those who touched power far beyond what they were meant to possess, these men craved more. They roused anger and hatred to wards the dragons, and legions of otherwise valiant men took up the call - to defend themselves against a race that for the most part desired - and certainly didn't need - any contact with humans at all. The most ambitious of these hunters soon found out where their greatest prize lay - the slaying of the royal dragons, and the power in their blood.
Even with the huge numbers of humans on the hunt, the huntings had little effect at first - after all, what were humans to dragons? But humans adapted, learned new ways to kill, and many dragons were forced into hiding, leading totally solitary existences, the once great meetings of their kind ended forever. Knowledge and abilities faded, lost and forgotten with each slain ancient, and eventually even those families that had stayed together, centered around the Vasska-Suoh line, began to thin and die out, one by one. The Ginaletta clan stayed with the Suohs as long as possible, until it was clear that the Dragons would no longer hold their dominance over the skies. The humans thirst for dragon blood was too great, and had made a few depraved individuals too powerful, for them to hide...
Any longer - at least as they were. Together, the last remaining heads of the families devised a plan that would change their kind forever - with the most powerful of their magic, they would bind their unborn children to new forms, allow them to hide among the humans, go on living where they could not. It was a plan that met with great success - Silverwings, Shadowclaws, and a very few other families were able to save some of their children in this way, by suppressing their blood and their forms, becoming an almost entirely new kind of dragon - but one that could live. Sadly, there was a downside to the Vasska-Suohs prized bloodline - no matter how much magic was invoked, no -Suoh could ever be confined to a human form, and as the hunters closed, and the great royal family's numbers..
Began to shrink, they turned to the last option available to them. The last child of the Vasska-Suoh line, a female whose Silverwing Matron had named Zuri, was sealed within her egg, never allowed to hatch, bound to sleep through the ages until the Matron's own descendant could find her, keep her safe, and raise her to once again be a Queen among dragons. Over two thousand years have passed, and that Silverwing descendant has found her Queen - though she doesn't yet know it... but someday soon, Zuri will realize that she is finally safe, and a Vasska-Suoh will again take to the skies...
The age of Dragons, perhaps, is not over after all...
